In the aftermath of 2010's record-breaking winter storm destruction, gain the knowledge you need to help your customers (and their plants) recover!
- Learn ways to evaluate snow and other storm-related plant injury with a focus on mitigating existing problems through corrective pruning, guying, cabling, and staking.
- What type of injury can be seen on which species of plant?
- How can you determine if a plant should be removed and replaced?
- What species are recommended to replace unsalvageable specimens?
- How can you prevent future damage through proper care, plant selection, and site selection?
- Find out what potential problems may arise from an insect pest and fungal disease standpoint following the stress associated with these plant injuries. What methods can be used to prevent or limit these problems from occurring?
